Refurbished Ministry Centre Hosts Melbourne Christmas Gathering

The Marist Solidarity Season of Solidarity arrived with Br Allen and Br Brian in Melbourne on Sunday evening. As the first function at the newly reconfigured and renovated Marist Ministry Centre in Brunswick, it was an opportunity to showcase its delightful refit.
The new presentation room and hospitality areas proved an ideal setting to host over 100 guests for the Melbourne launch of the Marist Solidarity Christmas Appeal. This year’s appeal supports five Marist projects in five countries from selected from the 16 countries supported in Asia and the Pacific.
The “Friends of MSol” continued their high quality home made catering and undertook to host the occasion. The wines were donated from Mt Toowong winery near Macedon by the Cremasco family well known to Brothers who have worked at ACK and Marcellin College. The support from Marist communities for the evening in preparation and hosting was invaluable. In the words of one of the guests the evening was “based on relationships and people.”
As in other cities, Br Allen Sherry presented an overview of the projects completed in 2014 and our Marist needs in 2015 and five of which are featured in the appeal pack.
