NEW DORMITORIES St Dominic's RTC Vanga Point, Solomon Islands In 2007 an earthquake and tsunami hit Vanga Point in the Solomon Islands. Since that time the trainees at St Dominic's have been reconstructing buildings and villages damaged by that disaster. Work starts by milling the timeber on the property. This timber was planted by the pioneers when St Dominic's was founded in 1971. Despite all the things that hold a good project up, the work progresses. But all of it is done "With my two hands". Have a look at the video, entitled "Who needs a crane?" (when you have 100 trainees!)
